While in Summit County we were able to go on a few hikes. The weather was not what we had expected, so the hikes were cooler, and wetter than we thought they would be - nevertheless, we enjoyed our time and the views were always worth it!

t is that time of year - vacation season! Sadly, one of the only times as of late that I take my camera out. This year we returned to one of my favorite places in the States - Colorado!

Last summer we traveled west for our vacation. This year we went north. Our trip started in Canada, though most of those photos were taken on my phone. We spent a few days exploring the old city areas of Montreal and Quebec. The old cities in both of these places were beautiful. I loved the old buildings and cobblestone streets. My mother-in-law was correct, it felt like walking into Europe. 

This is part 2 of 2 from our summer vacation going west. We started in Colorado. I could vacation in Colorado every year, the Rockies are truly magnificent. I don't think I would ever tire of the scenery!

The first blog post will be of the Oregon coast. I was in love with the northwestern coastline with its cliffs, rocks, coves and caves. 

This weekend Jonathan and I went to DC and visited the Tidal Basin where the majority of the famous cherry blossoms are located.

Well, it is Groundhog's Day, my Mother-in-Law's favorite holiday (she is a Punxsutawney native), and it looks like we will have another 6 weeks of winter, so what better time than to share some festive photos from our winter vacation! Over Christmas we visited Savannah, Myrtle Beach and Williamsburg, VA.

This year has been a blur and unfortunately I have used my phone camera more than my regular camera lately. I guess I have a good reason for that, since my last post I got engaged AND married! So much has happened! BUT in the midst of it all I also bought a new lens, and I LOVE it! 

What does a photographer do on a snow day? Take a photo field trip of course! It was a short one because I still had to go to my real job, but J and I took a quick ride out to Norlo Park and found some magical scenes. I pretty much love them all. This is what makes winter appear like a fairytale or bedtime story - like the Polar Express. 

Almost a month ago we took a weekend trip to Virginia to the Grand Illumination in Colonial Williamsburg. All the door and window decorations were fresh and lovely. I could not pass up the opportunity for creating photographic art.
