Capturing a Mood
At the end of last summer I started experimenting more with more macro style pictures as well as a new twist on my editing process. I still do as little editing as possible, really just a tweak here and there to stay true to the image itself. However, I was drawn in to the emotion of the images from my friends Angela and Liz and wanted to know more. They shared that they use something called Presets on Adobe Lightroom. I already use LR to edit my photos so I began to experiment. I fell in love with some of the results. Some of the images here are from summer and fall of last year and others are from Gettysburg yesterday. We decided to drive around some new scenery while in the confines of our car. Of course I had to jump out and take some pictures, but the places I was taking pictures were off the beaten path of the typical tourist - so I was safe from contracting COVID-19 or potentially spreading it (though at this time I do not believe that I have it.)
For those of you wondering what a preset is, they are essentially filters that can be applied to photos, however you can edit them a bit more than you can when applying an instagram filter.
