The Summer Sky Fest at Green Grove Gardens was not what I expected. Like a dedicated photographer, I woke up at 5 am to arrive at the grounds in time to see the hot air balloon ascensions at sunrise. Unfortunately, due to weather, they were unable to launch the balloons. They did however tether a balloon so that a couple could go through with their hot air balloon wedding plans.
Read MoreIt was a quick trip to New York City. Many of you have heard me raving about our hotel, the Paper Factory Hotel. It was so unique and fun aesthetically and architecturally. It is only 5 months old! (as of July 2014) Check it out at http://paperfactoryhotel.com/ (the hotel photos are book-ended by the red telephone booth photos). We also spent some time at the Chelsea Market and the Highline. My camera and I were more than content. I'm going to stop now and just let the photos speak for themselves.
Read MoreMy final weekend in Argentina brought one last trip with my photography class. Our trip was delayed an hour because of dense fog. It didn't completely lift before we decided to head out anyway. I loved the mood that the fog added to our photos in the early part of the morning. By 11:00 am the fog had lifted and the sun came out and created a beautiful Sunday afternoon.

If you have ever been to Buenos Aires and visited San Telmo and La Boca you will see resemblances of both in this port city. My roommate, Becky, put it perfectly, "It's like San Telmo and La Boca got together and had a love child."

Read MoreI just got back this week from our 3rd annual trip to Tandil, Rancho de Popy for an adventure camp with my students. It was a great time for participating in fun and challenging activities like repelling; relaxing and enjoying nature on our hike to the top of a small mountain as well as spending an afternoon by the lake fishing and canoing; and zooming down an incredible zip line.
